Professional Profile

I have four years of experience in architectural and technical design, including a year dedicated to voluntary work. As an ARB-accredited architecture graduate with RIBA membership, I bring a humanistic approach to design, ensuring that projects are not only innovative but also deeply connected to the needs of the people they serve. I am skilled in developing and refining concepts, grounding projects in real-world contexts while pushing boundaries where possible. I understand the importance of balancing creativity with practicality, always listening carefully to instructions and following the brief. My focus is on how my design expertise can best support and realize the client's vision, ensuring their ideas are brought to life effectively.

2019-Current - Escape2Make Junior Building Advisor
I initially started my involvement with E2M when I was 18 as part of the youth board to help design a new model for a youth centre. After 2 years of university, I came back to volunteer as part of the building team to help facilitate design solutions coming from the young people on the youth board. This experience developed into doing presentations for their cabaret as a young designer. E2M have since picked up one of my ideas developed at university, and have asked me to Co-Lead what they have called, 'The Meanwhile Project' - A workshop for the community to make public realm pop-ups that they can take ownership over and have pride for.

2021 - MawsonKerr Mentoring
A Newcastle-based firm mentored me. I attended monthly sessions. I gained experience on how an architecture firm runs on a day to day basis. I recognised where theoretical knowledge meets practical knowledge and how they interlinked. I then wrote a practice investigation and a practice evaluation on the firm.
